Covered picnic areas built. 2005 and 2006

February

Rescued Tiger's released into new exhibit. From people who used them at
State Fairs around the country, then could no longer use them for their exploitation.
Previous owners could not get rid of them and could no longer give adequate care. 2005
Rescued female Leopards, Lioness, and white Tiger brought to zoo from individual
selling them for taxidermy mounts. 2006

New Coatimundi exhibit on display. 2005
Flowers are beginning to bloom.
New white Tiger exhibit finished March 2007. Mr. MaGoo has been in holding area for a year and is enjoying his new area. He is very glad about escaping decoration as a wall mount. 2007

April

Snow Macaque brought to zoo from the University of South Alabama. The monkeys have lived in
in a lab for 10 years and are now retiring at the zoo. Our hat is off, showing such gratitude towards the University
for such an honorable action. 2006

June

Wild Boar(Rootie) and Veitnameese Pot Belly Pig (Miss Piggy), have a new exhibit after so many years. Great! 2006
American Black Bears have a new exhibit. 2008

Expanding present chimpanzee exhibit on the outside. 2007

Endangered Ringtail Lemurs on exhibit. 2008

Rescued Tigers from Missouri arrive. 2004

November

Joe the chimpanzee has a friend. A new chimps arrived, Bonzo. They are so happy together. 2006

December

Finished new office/classroom for the U.S.A. College professor and students.
